Paver Brick Maintenance

Now that you’ve invested considerable time and money in paver bricks for your lanai, pool deck, driveway, or walkway, how do you maintain their beauty?

Paver bricks will last longer if they are maintained regularly.

The best thing you can do for your new paver bricks is to apply a sealer within the first year of placement then, every 2-3 years. When paver bricks aren’t sealed, they can suffer from joint erosion losing the  sand and causing excessive weed growth, mold and mildew buildup within the joints. They can also suffer fading from the Florida sun.

Brick pavers can also shift and become loose or, settle causing low areas where water can accumulate. Smitty’s Home Services can re-level these brick pavers then, apply a strong polymeric sand between the joints-this will harden like concrete and help keep them in place.

Smitty’s Home Services uses the most up-to-date products available to Florida residents to properly maintain paver bricks.
